Here at Commercial Ready
Mix we recognize the value of good communication.
Often we are too busy to see the big picture or even
to realize the importance of the day-to-day
operations of the company. What goes on in Franklin
may not be known to the employees in Elizabeth City
and, so on throughout the company. The unique thing
is that no matter what job each of us does, we have
an effect on the rest of the company in one way or
another. The point is we are one big family! We
may cross state lines but, we’re still Commercial
Ready Mix. Some of us are Steeler fans while others
are Cowboy or Redskin fans. Some of us like Jeff
Gordon but, to others, he’s at the bottom of the
ocean. So we’re different like most big families
are, but so what?
We can take pride in the
fact that we are one of the few privately owned
businesses in our industry. We compete daily
against industry giants, like Titan and TCS (Sadler)
and against lesser names that are just as
competitive, or should that be aggravating? The
pride that is exemplified by our owners, managers,
and employees is one of the things that sets us
apart from other ready mix companies. As the old
football coach once said, we look good on paper and
perform well in the field. For example, who has the
best looking mixer trucks? Who is willing and able
to put together a pour that requires 18 mixer trucks
at one o’clock in the morning? Whose finishing
crews stay out to midnight to make sure the big pour
they had that day cures the way it should and……are
right out there the next day? Who has a tanker
driver who is willing to pick up a load of silica
fume somewhere in West Virginia in the middle of
winter? Who has the best payroll lady and who has
the best lowboy driver? WE DO! The resounding
answer is CRMP and we want to highlight those who
work to make us a great company.
Our goal in creating a
newsletter is to bring our family closer together,
share some things that are helpful to you and your
family and, at other times, just interesting. We
want to have fun doing it and we want it to be
enjoyable to read and share with your family and
friends. So, you have to choose whether you want to
be a reporter or an informant. We’ll take
either…….just participate! We’ll need information
about what’s going on in your life: weddings,
anniversaries, births, events, awards, items to
sell, etc. You get the picture. The newsletter
will be published six times a year (five times this
year) with our first issue covering March and
April. We’ll keep you updated on new jobs and
company news, entertain you and, hopefully, make you
smile. We look forward to doing this and hope you
look forward to it as well.
